INTRODUCTION
The following are artifacts from throughout the cartoon series that have some relation to Raven. Some are in her possession, while others are only based on Azarath history.

Side Theory: In the Testament of Solomon, an ancient magickal text, there relates the story of how King Solomon received a special seal from divine sources that granted protective power over demons, and this seal is often portrayed as a ring. Perhaps this story held some inspiration over the creation of the Ring of Azar.

To aid herself in meditation, Raven will sometimes use a mirror that acts as a portal into her mind. When Cyborg and Beast Boy went snooping in Raven's room in the episode "Nevermore", Beast Boy picked up this mirror and soon saw its surface flashing back four, red eyes. To his horror, a large, red claw reached out and grabbed him. Cyborg tried to free him, but the two ended up being dragged into the mirror, traveling through a portal and being deposited to a desolate area of Raven's mind.

Among Raven's vast accumulation of books is one that, much to her surprise, contained a living entity. As she was reading the history/legend of a wizard's battle with a dragon in it one day, it seemingly spoke to her, and she was soon introduced to a being inside its pages who presented himself as Malchior of Nol -- the wizard she had been reading about. He went on to explain that he had first been trapped inside the book over one thousand years ago by the final curse of a dragon named Rorek, and couldn't escape until Raven found him, as a page in the book attested. The curse imprisoning him was strong, but after much magickal study lead by Malchior, she managed to release him from the book -- only to find out that it was the wizard who was named "Rorek", and Malchoir was actually the dragon all along.
Side Theory: Rorek's name bears a striking resemblance to the name of "RorĂªx", reportedly an angel that could hold sway over the demon Alath. Perhaps this tidbit held some inspiration over the creation of Rorek's name, both of who have a loose demonic connection.

Another book within Raven's accumulation is one that relates to some unspecified degree the details of the prophecy that she's a part of. When trying to get a grasp on how her destiny's shaping up, Raven hunts through her books for a way to change it, and thus comes across this book which depicts the Mark of Scath within. She responds with near disbelief upon seeing this page, even lying to a teammate about finding it, and at some point resolves to takes the book to some sort of memory or soul of her mother Arella in Azarath, telling her that the prophecy is happening, and holding the book up to her and saying, "You have to tell me how to stop it."

Yet another book within Raven's accumulation is one titled "The Book of Azar". All we know about it beyond that is that it's "not a toy", as Raven tells Larry when he rides through the air on it like a hover-board.
the picture where is malchior what kind of letters are those?
ReplyDeleteThe letters have a runic appearance, so I initially guessed they were just a nonsensical "constructed script" of pseudo-runes, but after inquiring about the image elsewhere, I'm told the letters are Old Hungarian Script runiforms. I can't vouch for this myself since it's outside my realm of expertise, and I also don't currently know if the page can actually be translated or if it's just a jumble.
