Different

Raven sad that she's considered "creepy" by others.

"I'm not creepy, I'm just different. I wish there was someone around here who understood that. Someone I could talk to. Someone more like me."

  1. As someone with asperger's, who didn't know he had asperger's growing up and facing the constant tribulations of not being able to articulate myself well in speech and facing constant ridicule from my peers, siblings, and parents, I identified heavily with her in this moment and to this day I still do.

    1. For those of us who grew up being an outsider -- always internally questioning the way others behaved -- this is one of the defining moments in Teen Titans that makes Raven so lovable. Asperger's can make basic living much tougher, especially in social situations, but fortunately there are still some people to find solace in, and Raven is one of them.

    2. What made it even tougher was the terrible abuse at home my brothers and I faced. I felt something in not being able to be normal because of my parents, always worrying about where I was going to sleep or how I was going to eat, or if I was going to come home to some fist fight between my father and step mother.
It was a relation on two fronts, feeling as though I was born wrong, and born destined to have a never ending future of dread and abuse. I wish I could meet the creators. I'd have so much to say. lol
