Raven's Powers (Part Three)

PART THREE: COMMONLY USED POWERS
TELEKINESIS: Raven can put a little of her soul into objects to move and control them, even having them levitate, warp, or melt. It's not unusual for the object to take on a dark-energy appearance, sometimes also with a dark-energy strand connecting it to Raven's hands, but neither is always the case. Raven states in the episode "Car Trouble", "When I use my powers, I have to put a little of my soul into whatever I'm moving. I become a part of it, and it becomes a part of me."

DARK-ENERGY FORMS: Raven can create visible dark-energy forms that can be used both offensively and defensively in battles and also as a lift that she and at least one other person can ride. As an attack, she can shoot out dark-energy bolts, rays, and blade-like, jagged crescents in addition to other harmful agents, such as clawed arms, blade-like walls, and explosive bursts. As defense, she can make shields in a variety of sizes, ranging from simple streaks to large bubbles. When considered, it's possible that this power and her telekinesis are actually the same power just applied in different manners.

TELEPORTATION / PHASING / EVASION: Raven can use a sort of teleportation or phasing technique, possibly related to interdimensional travel. Ways she can do so are by (for want of a better word) shifting through things, taking the form of a large dark-energy raven, creating a spherical dark-energy pod, or going through portal-like dark-energy openings. She can also take other people along for the trip, sometimes elongating her cloak to envelope them. She can travel vast distances or just through an obstacle, sometimes using it simply to evade an attack.

LEVITATION: With proper focus, Raven can defy gravity, either taking full flight or merely floating midair in which sometimes she is bobbing up and down slightly and other times she is completely stationary. When Raven and Starfire switch bodies and powers in the episode "Switched", Starfire manages to fly, but when she wants to know the way to stop, Raven instructs her, "Look at the ground and imagine--" at which point an abrupt fall halts her from finishing. This quote suggests that there's also some amount of imagination involved in her flying.
